FAQ

Expert answers to your insurance questions.

Handling your own benefits can be overwhelming. Trimble is here to help every step of the way.

Is Trimble an insurance company?
Trimble is an insurance broker. When you shop with Trimble, we help you find and enroll in the best health coverage for your unique needs from top insurance providers, with no markups and no hidden fees.
How is Trimble different from HealthCare.gov?
Trimble is an official partner of HealthCare.gov, so we offer the same plans at the same prices as HealthCare.gov and your state marketplace, plus select private plans you can’t buy directly from the marketplace. We take your health needs and budget into account and provide one-on-one support before, during, and after enrollment.
When will my health plan start?
For most states, enrolling during Open Enrollment (Nov 1 – Dec 15) starts your plan on January 1st. Enroll between December 15 and January 15 and your plan starts February 1st.
Is dental or vision coverage included?
Most health insurance plans don’t include adult dental or vision coverage. Trimble offers custom dental and vision plans you can add on separately.
Can I enroll my spouse or dependents too?
Yes, you can cover your entire family through Trimble. Enroll each family member in only the coverage they need, whether that’s health, dental, vision, or all three.
What do Trimble’s health plans cover?
Every health plan on Trimble is major medical insurance, meaning it covers all ACA minimum essential benefits: hospital stays, prescriptions, surgeries, and emergency care. No plan can deny coverage for pre-existing conditions, and there are no lifetime maximums.
How does this compare to Medicaid?
If you have Medicaid, keep it. You’ll save the most money by staying on Medicaid while you’re eligible. Trimble will be here if you ever lose that coverage, for example if your income changes.
How much does Trimble cost?
Nothing. It’s free to be a Trimble member. We never charge additional fees when you enroll through us, and you get support throughout the year, not just at sign-up.
